The RYG Career Readiness Workshop is designed to develop each participants interviewing, professional, communication and conflict resolution skills. The workshop is open to high school students enrolled in the RYG Mentoring Program and to parents needing assistance obtaining jobs. Topics covered in this four-week workshop include:
Myer Briggs Personality Assessment- What type of job fits you best?
Resume-writing and Interview Attire
Interview Preparation/After the Interview and Conflict Resolution
Mock Interview and Graduation
The goal of this workshop is to show teens that more than education and work experience help get a job and that appearance, confidence and overall presentation also have a huge affect on how an employer sees an applicant. No more sweat shirts and baggy jeans to a job interview; we're all about suits and ties!
